ADDIE CHERNUS
My interest in art is self fulfillment and joy for myself and those who view my work. Color and design are my tools. Teaching others the joys of creativity is very important. Here are places I have taught: Santa Fe, University of Maryland, Maui Community College, Pasadena and Kapalua Art School. Currently, I teach silk painting at Lake Tahoe Community College.
I created and organized the “Lake Tahoe Festival of Fine Arts.”
In Lompoc I was one of seventeen artists who painted a 12’ by 48’ mural of a Chumash Indian scene.
As the Advertising Manager of Silk Painters International I diligently work to get the fine art of silk painting appreciated.
My art has been shown at the Smithsonian Museum, National Arboretum and Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., and the Rather Museum in Maryland.
I am in the process of writing a book, “Joy of Painting on Silk.”
