CAROL FOLDVARY-ANDERSON
Carol Foldvary-Anderson was born in Los Angeles and moved to Lake Tahoe to be closer to her sister in 1978.
A teacher had told Foldvary-Anderson's mother that young Carol had strong art skills. Although she didn't come
from an artistic family, she decided to take art classes.
The Pyramid Lake resident has worked as an artist for an athletic distribution company, sold radio spots
and experimented with paper, cookie dough and rocks to create her unique form of art. She's also an illustrator
, calligrapher and painter and has taught both children and college-age kids.
Through entering competitions and responding to calls for commissioned art, she has been able to make a living.
What sets Foldvary-Anderson apart from many artists is that she's been able to market her artwork so it's
hanging in local schools, public buildings and business offices.
