MARC ALPER
Marc Alper has lived and worked in the Tahoe area since 1997, exploring a wide variety of art interests:
sacred and visionary art, murals, faux finishes and recently has added floor murals in quartzite and slate to his repertoire. His artistic influences include, but are not limited to American Realism, Fauvism, Post-
impressionism, contemporary Southwestern and Chinese and Japanese brush painting.
While the majority of his mural and stonework is in private homes, some of his Tahoe area murals can be seen at Freshies Restaurant Paradise Beauty Salon, Safe Haven Chiropractic and The Pet Network of North Lake Tahoe. Artistically inclined since childhood and a self-taught painter, he received his BFA degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado in 1993, focusing primarily on pastel landscape, figure studies, mandalas and art history.
He enjoys hiking, camping, stargazing and spending time with family and friends.
