JULIE NELSON
Julie Nelson has exercised her creative side for five decades. Now in retirement, she has the time to explore various media and art disciplines. Sculpture has taken center stage in recent years, with bronze as her favorite. She especially enjoys working in a representative manner, expressing a stylized version of a familiar subject.
Her recent endeavors include working to see an Art, Recreation and Learning Center developed at the Forest Service Property, called Zephyr Shoals/the former Dreyfus Estate. She is most interested in helping make Tahoe an art destination, for our visitors. She believes that participating in this public art project/Bears by the Lake is a great way to bring more artistic enjoyment to the community and our guests; and to promote the arts.
